Maryland Parent Involvement Matters Award nominations

Nominations for the 2015 Maryland Parent Involvement Matters Award, a program of the Maryland State Department of Education, are due by Wednesday, January 30, 2015. This award, unique in the country, encourages parents' involvement in schools by honoring parents/legal guardians who have made positive contributions to public education.
Nominees must have a child attending a Maryland public school, cannot be an MSDE employee, and must have demonstrated contributions to public education that have led to improvements for children, teachers, schools, programs, or policies. One semifinalist will be selected from each Maryland county and Baltimore City, from which five finalists will be selected. One state winner will be named and celebrated in spring 2015.
