Baltimore Teachers Union (BTU) Evaluations
Last Updated - September 2017
All BTU observations and evaluations have the same deadlines for task completion. BTU observations and evaluations are completed electronically in the Online Performance Management System (OPMS). BTU evaluations are based on employee job titles. The documents and forms will automatically populate in OPMS based on the employee job title, and will be made available to the employee's supervisor of record. Those BTU members who do not work primarily in delivering instruction - for example, school counselors or social workers - will continue to be evaluated using the Performance Based Evaluation System (PBES), in place prior years. Those BTU members who have Classroom Teacher job titles should browse this area of the website to learn more about the Teacher Effectiveness Evaluation.
