    Dear Parent/Guardian,

My name is Hsiangmei Yang. I teach grades 6-8 science and math in Chinese immersion. I am very excited to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. This is my first year in BIA. Before this, I was a chemistry teacher at high school in Taiwan for at least ten years. With rich experiences and solid educational background (two master degrees: one in biochemistry and another one in forensic science), I will lead my students to discover the adventure and magic of science and math while, at the same time, making satisfying academic progression.

I am looking forward to meeting as well as knowing each student of my class and their parents. Middle school will be a challenging time for your child compared to elementary school; however, I will try to make the classes more interesting and easy, so that students understand and enjoy them. I will dedicate myself to use whatever resources and strategies necessary to help students succeed. Moreover, I do not just want to stick to academics. I am planning activities to develop the creative skills and interests of students. I hope to make this year an educational and fun-filled year.

If you would like to meet me to discuss your child’s performance or any problems that he/she is facing in class, you can feel free to contact me and we will determine a time that we are both available.

    Yours sincerely

    Hsiangmei
