    Who?   Current middle school students who would otherwise need to repeat their current grade next year
    What?   This program, from Bell link opens new window, offers rigorous middle school courses with lots of support, providing students what they need to move ahead with their class to the next grade in the fall. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and participating students receive MTA tickets for travel to and from the program.
    When?   July 9 to August 10, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Where?   Edmondson Westside Skill Center (501 N. Athol Ave.) or Barclay Elementary/Middle School (2900 Barclay St.)

    Engineers of the Future

    Engineers of the Future

    Who?   Students who will be in  6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the 2018-19 school year.
    What?   A free math and engineering summer program for qualified students to get on the path to high school Algebra in 8th grade. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and participating students receive MTA tickets for travel to and from the program.
    When?   July 9 to August 15, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with breakfast at 8:30 a.m.
    Where?   Fort Worthington Elementary/Middle School

    Summer Initiative Camp flyer Summer Initiatives Camp

    Who?   Students ages 5 to 12
    What?   Summer Initiative Camp is a free 6-week camp hosted by City Schools police officers. Daily activities include music, arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, field trips, and more. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Transporation is not provided. For additional information, call 443-509-8949.
    When?   June 25 to August 3, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    Where?   Coldstream Park school building (1400 Exeter Hall Ave.)
