• LEAD PATHWAY

     

    Registration for the Lead Pathway is now open!  The Lead Pathway is a promotional opportunity through which BTU employees on the Model Pathway are able to be part of a school’s Leadership team, and focus on one or more investment area. As part of this process, you will complete an assessment center specifically designed to assess your skills for the Lead position. 

    The registration window for the 2018 cohort opens Monday, December 18th, and will close on Tuesday, January 9th (11:59 pm).  If you are interested in applying for the Lead Pathway, your first step in the process is to complete this application, submit a resume and two professional letters of recommendation  by 11:59 pm on January 9th.  The Joint Governing Panel (JGP) will follow up with all eligible applicants with additional information about the assessment center.     OVERVIEW
     
     
    The Lead Pathway is a promotional opportunity that provides Model BTU professionals the opportunity to be a school’s lead in an investment area and collaborate with school leadership. Leads will carry a teaching/ service load of up to 25%,dedicating the remainder of their time in one of the Lead investment areas. Through this role, Leads help schools make important investments in key areas such as student interventions and implementation of the Instructional Framework. 
     
    Leads will be selected through a competitive application process, that begins with completing an online application found here, and submitting a resume’ and two professional letters of recommendation.  For more information on the application process, please click here.
     
    Upon successful completion of the Lead Assessment Center, the BTU educator becomes a Lead candidate and is placed into the eligibility pool. When a Model BTU professional successfully matches with a school and enters a Lead position, their job title will change to a Lead -Teacher job title. They will be moved to the Lead Pathway of the teacher salary scale and placed on the interval that reflects the next highest salary from the salary of their previous position, inclusive of any differential. Any Model BTU professional coming from a 12-month position will be placed according to their new 10-month role.
