Closing Activities Requirements

Parents often ask if students in the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and fifth grades graduate. Our kinders and fifth graders participate in what is called Closing Activities. Only students in middle, high, and college graduate.

There are certain requirements that City Springs will adhere to for both the pre- k, kinders and fifth graders. Pre-K and Kindergarten students must have regular attendance (coming to school on time and everyday) and excellent behavior in order to be a part of the Closing Activities. Excused absences-notes from doctors explaining why the child is absent will not be counted. Please be sure to frequently meet with your child's teachers to find out if your child is eligible to participate in the events.

In the beginning of the year, fifth graders are given the expectations for participating in their Closing Activities. Parents are also alerted by a letter as to the number of specific points children must maintain. Please contact your child's teachers to know the specific requirements. Once a child has lost his or her points there will not be a redemption.
