We are located at 2500 E. Northern Parkway 21229. As you face the building, we are located on the right side of the building. Our entrance is inside the Marietta Avenue parking lot.

What are the school hours?
The school day officially begins at 8:00 a.m. when students must be seated in their homerooms or be marked late for the day. Classes are dismissed at 2:50. However, students are allowed to enter the building at 7:50 a.m. for breakfast and may remain until 4:00 p.m. when supervised by a teacher.
What is the policy for visiting the school?
All visitors must enter through the main doors at the front of the building. All visitors are required to sign in at the main office and get a badge. If you would like to visit a teacher, please make an appointment prior to coming to school.
How is the climate at the school? Are students safe?
FAET students are very safe and students, faculty, administrators, and parents work together to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment. Our Core Values of Caring, Commitment, Confidence, Integrity, Patience, Persistence, Respect and Responsibility remain important facets of the FAET experience. Students whose behavior falls short of expectations face consequences that are spelled out in the student handbook.
How do I find out when the school is closed?

Are students required to wear uniforms?
Yes. The school uniform is as follows:
- 6th Grade - Burgundy Tops and Black or Grey Bottoms
- 7th Grade - Ash Grey Tops and Black or Grey Bottoms
- 8th Grade - Orange Tops and Black or Grey Bottoms
- 9th Grade (1st Year 9th Graders) - Black Tops with Black or Grey Bottoms
- Repeating 9th grade students, 10th - 12th Grade - White Tops and Black or Grey Bottoms

What is the attendance policy?
Students are responsible for arriving at school on time every day and for attending every class. Parents are responsible for making sure their children attend school every day, for maintaining regular contact with the school, and for sending a note to school explaining the reason for absence or lateness. If students are identified as being chronically absent, we will send the student and parent to Truancy Court.
How much do breakfast and lunch cost?
Breakfast and lunch is is free for all students.
What courses are offered at FAET?
Along with the traditional course offerings, FAET students take courses such as Principles of Art, Media, and Communications; Gaming and Simulation, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Engineering Design and Development, STARS, Fine Arts and Drama, Career Prep, Economics, and Entrepreneurship
How much homework are FAET students expected to do?
Successful students report that most nights average 2-3 hours of homework (30 minutes per class.) However, projects and research assignments often require additional time.
How do I contact my child's teacher?
All parents are encouraged to attend Back-to-School Night where they may get contact information for specific teachers. Also, there are two scheduled conference nights per year. Parents are invited to call the school to leave messages or request conferences with individual teachers. Parents may also email the teacher by clicking on the teacher's name under the “Staff " section on the website.
Are students allowed to carry their cell phones?
While students are allowed to bring their phones to school, students ARE NOT allowed to have the phones out during the school day, nor are they allowed to use them to call home. If parents wish to get in contact with their students they are asked to call the main office (443-642-5616/5617/5618) and leave a message with the secretary. Students are also not allowed to wear headphones/earbuds during the course of the school day. These items will be confiscated, if seen, and may require parents to come to the school to obtain them. FAET will not be held liable for lost or stolen merchandise OF ANY KIND.
Should middle school students or freshmen play school sports?
There are many advantages to joining teams and clubs. However, parents should monitor academic performance to be sure that extracurricular activities do not compromise academic achievement. The additional difficulties posed by late afternoon transportation should also be considered.
Must I purchase a graphing calculator?
This is highly recommended. Students will use them in class and for homework as well as on the math High School Assessments. The Mathematics Department recommends the TI 83 or the TI 83+. Since they are costly, calculators should be engraved with identification information. Graphing calculators can be purchased at any office supply store.
Who is eligible for free transportation?
All city residents who live 1 1/2 miles from school will be given an ID with a OneCard no later than the end of October as determined by Headquarters at Baltimore City Public School System. Students will use the OneCard to board the buses to and from school. The replacement cost of a lost or deactivated card is $10. It is imperative that students keep their ID/OneCards secure at all times.
