~Director~Ms. Kali Merritt
I am currently the director for Baltimore International Enrichment Program. Prior to this career path, I served as an academic consultant in the state of New York, a home-daycare provider, an Early Head Start senior teacher, as well as a substitute teacher. My academic accomplishments include, but will not end with: B.S. in Liberal Arts from Coppin State College (now University) 2002, M.S. in Early Childhood Studies with a Specialization in Teaching Adults in Early Childhood Studies (2012), Two Child Development Associates (CDA) in preschool and infants and toddlers, a certificate of completion of a graduate course in Teaching Methodologies in a Language Immersion Classroom from Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota (2011). I am also a member of the National Head Start Association (NHSA) and work a great deal with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
I love what I do and will continue to bring a sense of leadership and support to my team and the entire BIA community. When working with children, it is a joy to observe the times they discover something new and put it to practice.
During my quiet moments, I love to write children's books and poetry. Kali Merritt
