My name is Bienvenu Gbokede and I am the Middle School French Immersion homeroomteacher for your children. I am pleased that I accepted a position as French Immersion Teacher at Baltimore International Academy (BIA). I believe in the school’s philosophy, “International Education for Global Leadership.” In addition to this, the school chose to become an International Baccalaureate World school. I love its strategies and philosophy; student-centered learning to create life-long learners. I am proud to work with our children through this tremendous program that will make a difference in their lives.
I am a family man; I am married and have twodaughters, Yanne (7 years) and Elodie (10 years old.) As a parent and ateacher, I understand the importance of education. I have a Maryland EducatorStandard Professional Certificate in French. Since September, 2008, I havepursued a Master’s degree in Education at Strayer University and I willgraduate in December 2010! I graduated in 2004 from Louvain-La-Neuve CatholicUniversity in Belgium with a major in International Development. I also was agraduate from the National University of Benin, where I received a BachelorDegree in Linguistics and Communication.
