    • Complete College Essay
    • Complete College Resume
    • Take the SAT and/or ACT
    • Get two (2) Letters of Recommendation (LOR)
    • Submit college applications
    • Apply for scholarships
    • Visit college campuses

    November, December

    • Take the SAT and/or ACT
    • Apply for scholarships
    • Visit college campuses

    January, February

    • Complete FAFSA
    • Apply for scholarships
    • Begin making decisions on which school you may attend

    March, April

    • Apply for scholarships
    • Continue final decision-making process
    • For those attending Community College, make plans to take the placement test
    • Last minute college visits to make final decisions
    • Contact your school's financial aid to submit supporting documents (w-2's, tax forms, etc)
    • Apply for scholarships

    May

    • Nation-wide decision day May 1.  Send in enrollment and housing deposits.
    • Make arrangements to take placement tests
    • Ensure that your financial aid and housing is secure
    • Visit campus of accepted school
    • Apply for scholarships

    June, July

    • Ensure that your financial aid and housing is secure.
    • Check your campus email, personal email, and home mail regularly for updates from the college. 
    • Make sure you visit campus, make your schedule, and check-in with the billing office.
    • Apply for scholarships

    August

    • Apply for scholarships
    • Move-in
    • Buy textbooks (about $400)
