• ParentLink: Connect With Your School Community

    ParentLink is a messaging system that allows you to reach your entire school community simultaneously via voice, email or text message. It is ideal for informing your school community about such things as an upcoming PTO meeting, a school closing or a special program. The district office also uses ParentLink for sharing announcements and information relevant to the entire district.
     
    Daily Absence Calls

    Daily absence calls will automatically be sent to students who are marked absent for the day. In order for families of students who were absent to receive a call, the attendance must be entered by 4:00 p.m. and the phone number in Infinite Campus must be accurate.

    The default message is a robotic voice that inserts the date, student name, and school name.  Schools can opt to record their own message by following the below instructions. Please note that if a school records a custom message, the system can not include the student’s name or date.

    Schools can also opt to send a text message as well as a call by following the directions below.

    To set up a custom call:

    1. Sign in to Parentlink.
    2. Click on Messages on the top menu.
    3. Click on System Messages.
    4. Click Add.
    5. For Message type, select Daily Attendance Message.
    6. For Recipient role, select Parent.
    7. In the text box, type in your script.
    8. If you don’t want to send a daily text message, delete the text in the in the Text (SMS) box.
    9. Call Blackboard at the number listed and record your message, following the prompts.
    10. Click Save.

    To set up a daily text message:

    1. Sign in to Parentlink.
    2. Click on Messages on the top menu.
    3. Click on System Messages.
    4. Click Add.
    5. For Message type, select Daily Attendance Message.
    6. For Recipient role, select Parent.
    7. If you want the calls to be sent with a robotic voice, leave the Text box as is. To make a custom call as well as a text message, follow the instructions above.
    8. To have the text message fill in the student’s name and date, leave the Text (SMS) box as is. You can customize the text if you’d like.
    9. Click Save.
