abacusWelcome to our Middle School Section...
This year, we are implementing the IB Middle Years Programme...What does that mean? The MYP is designed for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a framework of learning that encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and the real world. It fosters the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement - essential qualities for young people who are becoming global leaders.
All subjects - Math, Science, Social Studies; Language Arts, Technology Design, Music and Visual Arts, Physical/Health Education and Target Language Arts, are a part of the MYP! Middle School students study these core subjects in even greater depth than they did as elementary grade students. Our students are refining their research techniques, seeking answers and enhancing their critical thinking skills as they pursue a rigorous and challenging curriculum in their target language.
We are committed to working with our parents to achieve our students’ success. We will always keep you informed of what we are learning in the classroom; this website is designed as a part of our information process.
