I am delighted to be a part of the staff at Baltimore International Academy. I teach English Language Arts 6-8 and my lessons are in line with the Baltimore City Schools Scope and Sequence. Your student will be well prepared for the next grade level and for further achievement in high school. I thoroughly enjoy my job as a teacher. I am a retired Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant and in my capacity as an Air Force member I traveled the world. I lived for four years in the Far East and six years in Europe. I have also lived in every section of the United States. In my travels I have also visited Northern Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico and the Middle East.
My educational background is diverse. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Arts in Public Administration and a Masters of Arts in Education. I am currently working on my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum. I am certified as a highly qualified teacher with the Maryland Department of Education.
My classroom is bright, organized and my teaching style is student centered and fun. I would describe myself as patient, kind and organized. I learn something from my students every day. They are amazing. I view my job as a teacher is to prepare our students to become global leaders in the professional world.
