The Barclay School is a school in Baltimore City Public Schools serving approximately 450 students in Pre-K – 8th grades. Through relationships, rigor, and relevancy, The Barclay School is dedicated to educating the "Whole Child". The school boasts not only consistently high test scores, but many unique program opportunities and initiatives including being an official Community School Site, an ASCD Healthy Schools site, an Experience Corps site, and a Maryland Governor’s Green School.
Some of the school’s programs include Project Early ID, Environmental Justice, Stocks in the Future, a School Habitat and Education Program, and a Goldseker Neighborhood-School partnership for Project-Based Learning called Great Schools in Charles Village. Thanks to many strong partners like the Greater Homewood Community Corporation, Johns Hopkins University, First English Lutheran Church, Abell Improvement Association, and Loyola College, the school is able to meet the vast array of needs for all students, families, staff, and community.
