Greetings Stadium Students and Families,
I want to extend a warm welcome for the upcoming year. The entire staff is excited to work with our students, their families, and the community. Our staff has spent a lot of time preparing for the arrival of our students and their families.
We have high expectations for ALL! Parents, guardians, teachers, support staff, community, and administration have important roles in the academic lives of our students. We are obligated to encourage our children to become active, life-long learners. Mediocrity is not acceptable. We ALL must strive for excellence. I expect that we will work TOGETHER to ensure success for all!
Parents, please have a serious conversation with your child about appropriate behavior, study habits and attitude towards learning. I ask that you serve as a partner in their learning experience. Our 7th grade students have an important year ahead. The seventh grade year plays the largest role in determing what high school they will attend. As a graduate of Western High School, I expect our students to have the desire to be accepted to the best schools in Baltimore City.
Students, I ask that you take the next few weeks to prepare your heart and mind for a positive and productive school year. Be reflective. If there are things that you need to change for the better, create your plan. All of you are entering with the opportunity for a fresh start. Make the best of it. Come to school prepared, on time, and ready to learn each and everyday.
I hope that you all are able to make Orientation Night on Thursday, August 27th. This will serve as our Back to School and Title I meeting. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet the staff and learn more about the curriculum and daily operations. I know that together we will have a wonderful school year. Please return well rested on Monday, August 31st and ready to participate in an engaging and exciting school year.
Remember, we expect that you will wear your uniform each day. Along with black bottoms, students are expected to wear the following: If you have any questions, please give us a call.
6th Grade: Purple Polo
7th Grade: Goldenrod Polo
8th Grade: White Polo
Cellphones are collected in the morning, locked away during the day, and returned to students at dismissal.
