   Welcome to the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute!  I am proud to have you as a student at Poly during our 129th academic year.  I hope you will join me in making this our best year yet.  Along with the Administrative Team and your teachers, I have high expectations for you.  We expect you to work hard, be prepared for learning every day, be on time, and respect yourself and your fellow students.

   I encourage you to explore all that Poly has to offer you, from challenging academic classes to extra-curricular activities and clubs.  Poly will prepare you to become a well-rounded citizen and to be a part of our tradition of strong academic standards that distinguish Poly from other schools.
   
   Poly is proud to have over 22,000 active alumni who continue t support the school and you, its students, so that you will have successes and achievements that they have had, thanks to their Poly education.
 
   Poly is not just a school, but a community made up of students, teachers, staff, parents, family members, alumni and the Baltimore community.  Our goal is to help you succeed at Poly and beyond.
