  • MIDTOWN'S BASKET/BAGS/BLING BINGO
    Save the date!  Midtown's 2nd Annual Basket/Bags/Bling Bingo will take place Friday, February 6th!  Tickets will go on sale Monday, December 22nd.  Cost will be $20.00 for the first ticket purchased and $10.00 for each additional ticket.  The event will be held at the Kappa Alpha Psi Lodge located at 1207 Eutaw Place.  Doors will open at 6:00 with Bingo beginning at 6:30.  In addition to the Bingo games, which include prizes ranging from $100.00 to $300.00 for each game, also up for grabs will be raffle items, teacher silent auction items,  and refreshments for purchase.  It's going to be an incredible family event!  Don't miss out! Like last year tickets will go fast. Each grade is asked to help fill a themed basket.  Themes are listed below.  Please send in an item with your student!  All proceeds will go to support Midtown.  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Engel at engel1@comcast.net or call the school at 410-225-3257.

  • HOLIDAY SOCK HOP DANCE
    Midtown's 1st Annual Holiday Sock Hop Dance was a huge success.  Students came, some even dressed in 50's garb and danced The Twist, The Mashed Potato, The Hand Jive, and so much more!  Huge thanks to the staff for planning such a great event.  Special thanks to Colin Engel for providing his DJ services!

  • MIDTOWN'S HOLIDAY SHOP
    Every year Midtown hosts a Holiday Shop that allows students the opportunity to shop for family members.  Donations are currently being accepted.  We are looking for items to sell such as picture frames, candles, toys, scarfs, gloves, hats, etc.  All donations should be brought in to the schools main office.  Please clearly mark your donation with your child's name and grade so that MGame points can be applied.  If you have any questions please contact Ms. Jones in the main office at 410-225-3257.

  • SHARE THE WARMTH CAMPAIGN
    Each year the Midtown Community participates in a Share The Warmth Campaign.  We are collecting new socks to support those who are homeless or in need.  Please consider donating a pair or two!  A blue collection bin has been placed in Midtown's MPR.  Thanks for helping us share the warmth this holiday season!

  • Uniting Diverse Artists
    An Art Exhibit and Silent Auction to benefit The Midtown Academy was a HUGE SUCCESS!  Thank you to all who helped plan, execute, and who came to our event.  A grand time was had by all and crucial funds were raised to help our school.

  • Midtown Academy's Winter Open House
    The Midtown Academy will host it's annual Winter Open House on Friday, January 9, 2015.  The school will be open for potential new students and families to tour and speak with Midtown staff and teachers during the hours of 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Applications will be available at the open house or may be printed from our admissions page on our website and brought with you.  Any questions about the open house can be directed to Rhonda Jones by calling the school at 410-225-3257.  We hope to see you there!

    Donating to Midtown has become even easier. We now have an incredible donation page on Paypal as well as Razoo.   • DONORS CHOOSE
    Did you know Midtown teachers often list items on Donors Choose to help enhance thier student's learning? Earlier this year Mrs. Engel received funding for her annual butterfly and seed kits, over a $200 value. Ms. Ward recently received funding for over $200 dollars worth of new books for her student's library. Ms. Kassel has recieved over $200 worth of Math games!  Mrs. Engel and Ms. Whitty's most recent Donors Choose project enabled their class to recieve Kindle Fire tablets.  Thanks to all who have donated to these worthy projects and keep an eye out for many more!

  • 1st Grade's Canned Food Drive Was A Huge Success!
    Congratulations to the 1st Grade and all of Midtown for a very successful Canned Food Drive to support the Maryland Food Bank.  In all 1st Grade volunteers collected 515 canned goods from classmates, schoolmates, neighbors, and families.  Volunteers from the Maryland Food Bank picked up our donations as the 1st Graders along with a few 8th Grade boys loaded the truck.  Thank you Midtown for helping us to learn how to help others in need!

  • BINGO!!!!
    MIDTOWN ACADEMY'S BASKET, BAGS & BLING BINGO

    Our 1st Annual Bingo was a huge success.  With over 150 tickets sold Midtown was able to raise over $3,000 to go towards technology in the classrooms as well as additional field experiences!  Thank you to everyone who made an effort to send in items, buy tickets, and attend our bingo!  Special thanks to Mrs. Engel, Ms. Whitty, Mr. Michels, Ms. Patton, Ms. Schmitz, Mrs. Penny, and Ms. O'Hanlon for their hard work to make this fundraising event happen. Congratulations to the faculty and staff of Midtown for selling the most tickets.  Congratulations to Abigail Ash for being Midtowns individual ticket seller winner.  Be on the lookout for our next funraising event, Midtown's Quarter Auction in the near future!

    BGE VIDEO CHALLENGE
    A huge congratulations goes out to the 4th Grade Production Club and Mr. Michels! Out of 30 entries Midtown came in 3rd overall in the BGE video competition. A BGE spokesman arrived at Midtown with a special plaque and a $1000.00 prize for our school. WAY TO GO 4TH GRADE!

  • BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
    Way to go Midtown!  During our first collection of Box Tops Midtown was able to earn $353.40.  Our second collection has begun.  The deadline for turning in your Box Tops is Friday, February 22, 2013.  Let's try and beat the amount collected during our first collection.  Below are the top collectors per grade:
