Midtown Academy

The Midtown Academy provides Baltimore's Midtown neighborhoods and beyond with an excellent elementary/middle school.  Midtown consistently generates high-performance academic results with a straightforward, scalable model and a promise to its students to know them and understand their strengths and needs.  Serving 198 students in the heart of Midtown and Baltimore's cultural arts district, Midtown pairs a rich academic program with a deep level of engagement in the community.  Midtown's academic program focuses on a deep exploration of rich, relevant content enhanced by real world experiences.  As part of our commitment to prepare students for success in high school and beyond, Midtown works to instill in each Midtown scholar both a sense of self and of responsibility to the larger community.  A true believer in the notion that it takes a village to raise a child, Midtown creates a range of opportunities for families to participate in the life of the school.  Midtown is a rare and special place, a model for what urban public education in Baltimore City can be.

Ms. Kassel has recieved over $200 worth of Math games!  Mrs. Engel and Ms. Whitty's most recent Donors Choose project enabled their class to recieve Kindle Fire tablets.  Thanks to all who have donated to these worthy projects and keep an eye out for many more!
