Our KidsThe Mount Washington School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) World School.  We became an IB World School on August 11, 2014. 

This website includes information about the logistics of the daily operations of the school, student life, and community involvement. You will find information about contacting the health suite, procedures students and parents are expected to follow during arrival and dismissal, and names and contact information for our various parent groups. The site also includes pertinent policies and calendars with important events that are scheduled every year.

  • Registration 2016 - 2017

    Forms are available for pickup on Monday, April 4. Registration for new Kindergarten students begins on Wednesday, April 6, 9:00am to noon. Registration for new students in grades 1–8 begins on Wednesday, May 4, 9:00am to noon. Avoid the rush! Early registration is appreciated!

  • Forms for Registration

    Parents enrolling students in Mount Washington who have never been to a Baltimore City Public School will need to bring the following for their child: Child’s Social Security card, Child’s birth certificate, Child’s immunization record (shot record), 2 Proofs of Residence (BGE bill, landline telephone bill, mortgage statement, government mail), Parent/guardian photo ID. In addition, parents enrolling students in Mount Washington from other schools will need to bring the Maryland Transfer form completed by the sending school.

    We are currently taking orders for the 2015-2016 yearbook. Yearbooks are $25. Deadline to order a yearbook is March 30th. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Charles-Pierre in the Upper Building.

  • School Tours

    School tours, for students and families interested in the Mount Washington School, will be held once a month (see calendar). All tours will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Lower Building, 5800 Smith Avenue, and will conclude by 10:30 a.m. in the Upper Building, 1801 Sulgrave Avenue. Tour capacity is limited; please call the main office at 410-396-6354 at least 24 hours in advance of the tour to register.

  • Lost and Found

    Has your child come home without his/her jacket, binder or pencil case? Please have them check the Lost and Found bins in the UB and LB cafeterias. In order to ensure your child's belongings are returned to them when misplaced, please label all student items.
