Dear Parents/Guardians:

 

School will open in just a few weeks, and as principal of Woodhome Elementary/Middle School, I wanted to welcome you and your student(s) to a new school year.  Our first day of school is August 27, 2012.  A new school year is always exciting, challenging and filled with new learning opportunities.  Our focus will be on providing each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience.  The academic emphasis on the core content areas of reading, language arts, science, social studies, and math will remain a top priority as well as providing a learning environment that increases student achievement. Instruction in the fine arts, foreign language, technology, and physical education program will provide each student with the opportunity to develop areas of interest and skill. I am happy to say that we have included Visual Arts as a part of our Fine Arts program for this school year. This school year will be filled with new learning opportunities that the children of Woodhome have never experienced.
