Jackson Greetings Antioch Community,

You will be happy to know that your Leadership Team has been working diligently to finalize our strategic action plans that will help your child increase their academic performance in the areas of Reading and Writing. We are also committed to offering college and career readiness opportunities that will adequately prepare students for life after high school. We will provide our students with the highest level of instruction, quality internship opportunities and most importantly the opportunity to graduate from high school by earning 15 credits in one academic year.

 I want to be clear on our expectations for this school year:
  • Students will take and pass their HSAs.
  • Students will increase their reading and writing scores by at least two grade levels.
  • Students will increase their attendance.
  • Students will excel at everything they set out to do.
Low expectations and excuses do not exist at Baltimore Antioch Diploma Plus High School. We are “Lions” and we conduct ourselves as leaders in our community just as the lion does in the jungle. We will fight to earn high grades (As and Bs), we will fight to pass the HSA, we will fight to improve our community, and we will fight to enroll in college. We have adopted the philosophy that failure is not an option for our students. We understand that students come to our school in search of something different and special. Our school will deliver on that promise and prepare students for SUCCESS in their post-secondary experience and eventually their career choices.

It is expected that students will help themselves reach their goals by actively participating in their own education in and out of the classroom. I am encouraging students to maintain contact with their teachers, guidance counselors, advisors and administrators on a regular basis in an effort to resolve any issues or to proactively address any concerns. We stand ready to assist every student and their families, so if you have any comments, recommendation or questions, please feel free to contact the school.

In closing, we at Antioch Diploma Plus High School look forward to working individually with every student to help them become the best that they can be and roar “loud like a Lion” during their accomplishments each and every day. You are special and loved at Antioch.
