Office of Human Resources Information SystemsHuman Resources Information Systems Mission Statement:The purpose of HRIS is to enter, maintain, and secure all Baltimore City Public Schools employee data in the HRMS system and provide critical reports to internal and external organizations. Overview of Business Unit:The HRIS department provides technical support in the administration of the Human Resources, Benefits, and Time Management modules of the Oracle ERP system. The HRIS team implements and maintains system applications, audits system data and ensures policy compliance, monitors and maintains data integrity, maintains system documentation, report writing and analyses, and provides first line end user support. Working in coordination with the Information Technology Department, the HRIS team, conducts requirements analysis and documentation, testing, and deployment of HR related applications, interfaces, and related business processes including enhancements, upgrades and new development of the HRMS and other subsystems. The data and information systems maintained by the HRIS team affect virtually every department and school in the Baltimore City Public Schools.
