Home and Hospital Program Goals:

Provide continuity of instruction for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade who are unable to attend school due to physical or emotional conditions.

Provide direct instruction one – on –one instruction to students in their homes, in hospital settings, or by telecommunications/home visits until students are physically able to return to their home schools.

Provide services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities.

Provide procedures and policies for parents interested in providing instruction at home for their children.

Manage the implementation of home schooling.

Conduct biannual portfolio reviews

Develop and disseminate administrative procedures that support students transitioning from home school back to school
Program Components:
Chronic Health Impaired (CHIP): designed to provide supplementary instruction for students whose chronic illness interferes with regular school attendance and academic performance.
Home and Telecommunication: designed to meet the individual educational needs of each student in the home and by telephone.
Transitional Head Injury: designed for students who are recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
Hospital: designed to meet the needs of students who are long-term patients in Baltimore City Hospitals.
Infant and Toddler: designed to provide instruction for infants and toddlers who have developmental delays and disabilities
Home Schooling: designed to support parent who are providing instruction for their children in the home.
