The Office of Internal Audits
MISSION STATEMENT
The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners (the Board) Office of Internal Audits mission is to assist the Board and members of the Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS) executive management to effectively discharge their duties and responsibilities.
We will accomplish our mission by:
- Performing high quality independent analyses and evaluations of the BCPSS operations, programs, activities and information systems in order to assess and report the extent to which established objectives are being achieved;
- Providing timely value added recommendations and advisory services to the Board and BCPSS executive management in order to improve the overall performance of the BCPSS operations, programs, activities and information systems;
- Promoting an understanding, acceptance, and the utilization of the internal audit function to all levels within the BCPSS to establish effective working relationships to achieve established objectives.
