What We Do:

The Office of the Chief of Staff provides direct support to the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief of Staff acts for, represents, and exercises the authority of the Chief Executive Officer in directing the implementation of plans, policies, and programs. The Chief of Staff coordinates the activities of system officers for the efficient operation of all schools and offices. Within the Office of the Chief of Staff, the Baltimore City School Police Force is to ensure that students and staff have a safe and secure learning environment to learn and teach, enabling each student to achieve his or her maximum potential and future success, the Office of SchoolStat provides technical assistance to system officers and their staff in the collection and analysis of quantitative information for data driven decisions, and the Office of JROTC provides district level leadership in the oversight and coordination of JROTC units established in BCPSS.  This oversight includes instructor and student administration, instructional leadership, formal instructor evaluation and direct coordination with school, district and Department of Defense leadership on JROTC matters.
