Mission Statement:

The mission of the Office of New Initiatives is to transform Baltimore City Public School through the creation of innovative, high quality schools, promoting school choice opportunities for students and families.

What We Do:

We oversee the application process and start up of all new Baltimore City public schools – charter, contract, and Transformation Schools. We guide the application review, the recommendations to the CEO, the technical assistance needed in start up, the contract negotiations, and the ongoing contract monitoring of all these schools.
