Grade 7

During seventh grade, students are expected to take and pass the Maryland functional tests in mathematics, reading, and writing. Coursework in English and mathematics is designed to enable them to achieve this important step in preparing for high school. The social studies program emphasizes the geography and culture of Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Highlights of seventh grade science are the units on the human body, chemistry and the Chesapeake Bay.
