They engage in individual and cooperative learning activities that enable them to develop and apply skills and concepts in all subject areas. In social studies, students begin a formal study of United States geography and history. Students refine science skills as they conduct experiments and learn about the Chesapeake Bay, geology, and heat. Students use mathematics to solve a variety of multistep programs.
