Grade 11
In eleventh grade, many students take English III, world history, Algebra II, and physics. Students may take other mathematics or science courses depending on the student's background, interests, and/or program of studies. Students enrolled in tech prep or occupational prep programs take a minimum of four credits in their career and technology education completer program.

- Be sure your son/daughter attends school regularly and is on time.
- Be sure your son/daughter comes to school ready to learn.
- Encourage your son/daughter to listen and follow directions.
- Help your son/daughter understand how subjects are used in the real world and in careers.
- Help with homework, if appropriate.
- Be sure your son/daughter completes a service-learning project.
- Encourage your son/daughter to play games that involve math such as chess, Monopoly, or Tetris (computer game).
- If your son/daughter is planning to go to college, be sure he/she takes appropriate college admission tests during the eleventh grade.
- Encourage your son/daughter to use the library/media center, television or the Internet, to explore topics related to physics.
