POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chief Executive Officer, Baltimore City Public Schools , is seeking individuals meeting the minimum qualifications for the following position:


SUPERVISOR - CLINICAL SERVICES SOCIAL WORK
($77,263 - 114,033)

Under the leadership of the Director of Related Services, supervises central administrative duties relevant to the provision of special education and clinical services to ensure the delivery of related services in the area of social work, psychology or speech and language to all BCPSS students in accordance with legal mandates. 

Qualified applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Masters degree in applicable discipline
  • Valid Advanced Professional Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education with an endorsement in school social work
  • Maryland License in the applicable related service area, i.e., L-CSW-C, NCSP, or SLP
  • Six successful years of experience working as a clinician in the applicable related service area (inclusive of two years in a school setting and three years in a supervisory capacity)
  • Experience in conducting professional staff development activities
  • Experience in conducting clinical program evaluation
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local special education mandates
  • Awareness of current research and trends relevant to related service area
  • Knowledge of organizational and operating procedures including the decision-making process, program planning, improvement strategies, and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that ensure productive interaction and effective team building
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Data analysis, problem analysis and quality decision making skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately and within specified timelines
  • Ability to provide effective training, instruction, and supervision to professional clinicians
