POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chief Executive Officer, Baltimore City Public School System, is seeking individuals meeting the minimum qualifications for the following position:


COORDINATOR - SECONDARY CHARTER SCHOOLS
($72,891 - 107,575)

Oversees and monitors charter school operations and compliance with agreements and contracts.  Provides regular reporting and analysis of charter school data.  Provides appropriate curriculum/instructional leadership and support in the Maryland School Performance Program.  Prepares appropriate updates for course descriptions.  Participates in formal documentation procedures, monitoring, and assessments of charter school programs.

Qualified applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in education or related field
  • Valid Advanced Professional Certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education with an endorsement in a secondary area and an Administrator I endorsement
  • Two years supervisory/administrative/leadership experience in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of charter school agreements and negotiations
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present educational and operations data
  • Effective organization and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make persuasive presentations
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present educational and operations data
  • Proficient in the knowledge and use of technical computer applications including Microsoft Office
