POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chief Executive Officer, Baltimore City Public School System, is seeking individuals meeting the minimum qualifications for the following position:


ASSOCIATE - BCTR
($42,616-$70,926)

Under the leadership of the Director of Staffing and Certification and the Baltimore City Teaching Residency (BCTR) Site Director, the BCTR Associate is responsible for partnering with staffing members to attract and retain human capital for BCPSS. Facilitates cultivation initiatives in areas specific to improving candidate quality; provides direction to new Baltimore City Resident Teachers in areas relating to organizational policies and programs, employee relations, training and professional development. Controls the flow of program data and  selection of teachers.

Qualified candidates will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or closely related field.  Masters preferred
  • Two years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting or related educational experience
  • Two years of experience in related administrative support work such as interviewing, recruiting, screening, processing employment transactions, assisting with employee orientation, or similar work
  • Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of alternate routes to teacher certification
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively attend to details and to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to identify challenges and actively work to find solutions
  • Ability to work effectively with others at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to objectively analyze data and make recommendations on a variety of administrative issues
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a full service staffing environment
  • Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications, including spread sheets, word processing, databases, and the internet
