Salary Schedule

Teachers who hold or meet all requirements for a Maryland State professional certificate will start at Step 4 (marked in bold). Salary is paid on a bi-weekly basis. The pay period is ten days with payday every other Friday. Ten-month employees are paid for 216 days. Therefore, the annual salary divided by 21.6 equals the gross bi-weekly pay. Step credit is given for every year of full-time classroom teaching experience. (Substitute teaching and student teaching is not considered creditable experience.)
