Welcome to Western, a 2009 National Blue Ribbon School! Western High School, founded November 1, 1844, is the oldest all-girls public high school in the United States and is one of the city's and the nation's most distinguished institutions of learning.

 

Western seeks to provide students with numerous opportunities to develop and enhance their academic and artistic abilities. It is our greatest hope that our students will accept responsibility, grow intellectually and be successful.
