We’re #2 and Proud of It
This fall, the Abell Foundation ranked Wolfe Street Academy #2 among all public elementary schools in the City in the performance of its students on the Maryland School Assessment Test. Number 1 is Roland Park Elementary School that has long been credited with being the top elementary school in Baltimore. Wolfe’s great results are further proof that despite 94% of our students coming from low-income families (compared with 18% at Roland Park) all children can learn when given the opportunity!
Become Our Partner - Keep the Momentum Going
A Matching Grant Opportunity
Our school, which primarily serves immigrant Latino families, moved from 77th nine years ago to 2nd by the persistent, hard work of our students, teachers, families and community partners that include the Social Work and Dental Schools of the University of Maryland, student volunteers from Johns Hopkins and the MAESTRO program that brings a challenging strings curriculum to our students.. Gifts as small as $5 or $10 are greatly appreciated but we are hoping for a number of larger donations of $100, $500 to $1,000.
Our goal this year is to raise $25,000. In order to build our momentum, an anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $5,000 raised
