Dear Govans Elementary School Students and Parents,

Welcome to yet another new and wonderful school year at Govans Elementary School!  I hope you enjoyed a relaxing; fun-filled summer with family and friends and that you are excited and prepared for the 2012-2013 school year.

We continue to be very proud of the accomplishments of the children of Govans Elementary School, whose academic achievements place them among the top-performing students in Maryland!  The new school year will bring opportunities for our students to continue to excel in academic areas as well as enjoy a rich array of experiences that include the visual and performing arts, physical strength and endurance activities, and opportunities to grow as responsible citizens.
